Start

Even after innumerable requests from friends to take up blogging, for some reason or other I was not too keen. Somehow, I was always able to come up with reasons for not taking it up.

Now, a thing that has been bothering me for the past couple of weeks ever since I joined IIT Delhi is how to I LEARN AND REMEMBER so many things that happen throughout the day. So many facts and figures, so much of information on all kinds of stuff ranging from business to sports to seminars to what not. I tried many so called 'techniques' but to no avail. Then I referred to the blogs of some of the B School profs and that of Mr. Pavan Soni. A quick mention about Pavan Soni. He is an Innovator Evangelist from Wipro and had conducted a workshop at DMS with the IT rostrum. I was particularly impressed with his knowledge and the amount of information that was packed in each of his sentences. I then visited his blog and found to my surprise that most of the things that were mentioned in the workshop were a part of his blog.
This led me to infer that there are no secrets or so called techniques to remember. Its simply the old saying that
I read ------ I forget
I write ----- I recollect
I do ------ I remember

Hence, I decided to go one step up in the learning chain with writing down whatever I learn during the day so that it stays with me longer than it normally would.

Watch out this space to follow my learnings at a B School about business, Classroom, Sports, Politics and just about everything.

Welcome aboard.
